Burghley box office is now open – get your tickets at the super-advance rate

  • Burghley Horse Trials tickets are now on sale for 2026 (3–6 September) and there are some new upgrades to the event to look forward to. We’ve rounded up everything you need to know before you book, including what’s on when, ticket options and pricing windows.

This year marks the 65th anniversary of the Defender Burghley Horse Trials and, as one of the major events of the year, it promises five-star eventing action of the highest level. To mark the occasion, there will be upgrades to the shopping village, including a brand new shopping avenue, and the Insights Stage (that hosts all the big-name interviews) will be relocated to a more prominent spot alongside the food court and gardens.

What’s on when at Burghley Horse Trials?

Thursday 3 September: CCI5* Dressage Day 1 and LeMieux Pony Club Team Jumping

Friday 4 September:  CCI5* Dressage Day 2 and Dubarry Burghley Young Event Horse Finals

    Saturday 5 September: CCI5* Cross-country

Sunday 6 September: CCI5* Showjumping, BSPS TopSpec Gold Cup Sports Pony Final and official ceremony for Ballaghmor Class’ retirement
