Britain's best do battle for Blue Chip titles
The five-day Blue Chip winter showjumping championships at Hartpury College delivered thrills and spills, joyous laps of honour and an entertaining gala night
The Blue Chip Winter Showjumping Championships is an annual spring championship show that hosts affiliated showjumping finals for horses and ponies at all levels.
Organised by Kelvin Bywater and his team, it has been held at Addington since 2024. Prior to that the Blue Chips, as they are commonly known, took place at Hartpury for 15 years. 2026 marked the 35th running of the show.
As well as finals that riders have to qualify for via more than 450 qualifiers held around the country during the winter season, there are also direct entry classes open to non-qualified riders at the Blue Chip Showjumping Championships.
