If you can find a hotel near Royal Windsor Horse Show then I think it’s worth extending your stay to visit the Berkshire town, too. I say this because I grew up in the town next door to Windsor – and stayed there for 28 years – and my grandma lived a stone’s throw from the castle, so I know both the town and the horse show very well.
The Royal Windsor Horse Show takes place in the stunning grounds of Windsor Castle (14–17 May 2026) and finding accommodation near by will allow you to make the most of your trip. Visitors will be treated to world-class showjumping, driving and endurance, as well as a huge number of national showing classes. There is something for everyone including plenty of shopping and stunning displays, which includes a dressage masterclass from Olympians Carl Hester and Becky Moody this year. The closest low-cost hotel is the Travelodge Windsor Central – it’s right in the centre of town next to the Windsor & Eton Central Station, and walking distance from the show – but I’ve found an option for every budget below.
