Winter dressage championship highlights — day 4 [VIDEO]

  • On day four of the winter dressage championships, Fiona Bigwood produced an outstanding ride in the Charles Owen Advanced Medium Open  to top the class riding her grand prix star in the making, Cashmir, a 7-year-old gelding by Serano Gold.

It was a good day for the Scots, with Scotland’s Debbie Murray riding Scottish-bred Fancyman MFS to victory in the KBIS British Equestrian Prelim championship, while Hannah Biggs and another Scottish-bred horse, Don Caledonia, headed the Spillers Medium Open Freestyle.

In the Petplan area festival championship classes, Zoe Ball and her 14.2hh 6-year-old gelding of unknown breeding, Garvery Boy, won the novice restricted, and Sarah Carmichael the medium open on her mare of a lifetime, Belle Amie, a 15.2hh Dutch-bred mare by Florencio.
