Take part in a performance horse survey

  • One of the UK’s leading specialists in equine ulcers is looking to recruit yards to take part in the first large-scale survey of performance horses.

The condition affects an estimated six out of 10 performance animals.

Richard Hepburn MRCVS will carry out the survey in May and will select horses randomly for gastroscopy.

He hopes to improve vets’ understanding of the condition.

He is seeking horses registered with British Dressage, British Eventing and British Showjumping who have been in work for four weeks prior to the scoping day.

The cost (usually £150-200) will be nominal.
