Harborough Hunts Club Ride cancelled due to wet weather

  • This weekend’s Harborough Hunts Club Ride has been cancelled due to the extreme wet weather.

Organisers told H&H they’d done their “utmost” to hold the ride, due to run tomorrow (Saturday 23 March) but that the course in Saddington, Leics, is too wet.

“The excessive wet weather as well as a blanket of snow if leave us no alternative but to cancel,” said as spokesman.

“The course is waterlogged and with the forecast this week not being ‘spring’ like there is no chance of it drying out enough.”

The Harborough has been cancelled four times since 1971 because of the wet – 1986, 1993, 1995 and 2007.
