Fancy giving the BE90 Mitsubishi Cup a go next year? Here are the cross-country fences that caused problems in 2016

The Mitsubishi Motors Cup held at Badminton Horse Trials immediately before the prestigious four-star event is the pinnacle of the lower levels of eventing in Britain.

This year, the BE90 championship was won by Sophie Walker from Shropshire riding her own 10-year-old Rhapsody RFW. The combination won on their impressive dressage mark of 24.8 penalties. Second place went to Jessie Vanassche from the Isle of Wight riding Da Vinci II who finished on a score of 25.3. Third place was occupied by Emily Taggart riding Solo XII, who finished on 25.4 penalties due to getting 2.8 too-fast time-penalties on the cross-country course.

The course caused problems at a number of different fences. In total 77% of cross-country starters completed the cross-country course with no jumping penalties.

Here are pictures of the fences riders faced on the cross-country with a fence-be-fence breakdown of where problems occurred. The championship course was 3100m in length with an optimum time of 6 minutes 57 seconds.
