    • The Mitsubishi Motors Grassroots Championships held at Badminton House immediately before the prestigious four-star event give those event riders at the lower levels of the sport the opportunity to perform on one of the biggest stages of the eventing world.

    This year, the BE90 Championship was won by Hollie Booth from Cheshire riding Julia McGowan’s seven-year-old mare Dramatic. The combination won on their impressive dressage mark of 24.1. They were closely followed by Katie Vincent riding Glen Carter owner by Alexis Sims who finished on a score of 26.1. Third place was occupied by 15-year-old Heidi Coy riding her own 14hh Riversdale Magic Heart, who finished on 27.3 penalties.

    The course caused problems at a range of fences throughout. 63% of cross-country starters completed the cross-country course with no jumping penalties.
