Bettina Hoy keeps hold


  • Germany’s Bettina Hoy is leading at Luhmuhlen four-star in Germany following an exceptional dressage score with Ringwood Cockatoo. Hoy’s 37.4 pen score, achieved on the first afternoon of dressage, proved unbeatable. Frank Ostholt, also from Germany is hot on her heels on a score of 41.1 pen with Australia’s Lucinda Fredericks in third place.

    Hoy and Fredericks both have a good chance of success at Luhmuhlen after achieving impressive dressage scores on their second horses. Fredericks is in fifth place with Bally Leck Boy and Hoy is eighth with Peaceful Warrior. Badminton winner Andrew Hoy is currently in seventh position on a score of 49.8 pen.

    As for the Brits, Kitty Boggis is currently lying thirteenth with Five Boys, with Sarah Cohen and Tom Cruise II in fifteenth. William Fox-Pitt and Birthday Night are in nineteenth position – nearly 20 penalties behind Bettina Hoy.
