Nigel Hollings

Horse & Hound showing columnist

Nigel is a successful showing breeder, producer and trainer, as well as former chairman of the British Show Horse Association. He was the first boy to win the HOYS show pony title in 1972 with Snailwell Charles. Ten years later at the age of 22, he trained the 1982 champion Runnings Park Hill Star, which was the beginning of a long list of victories, including the supreme championship with the riding horse Fair Breeze in 1989.

Nigel has also judged hacks, working hunters and coloureds at HOYS, and has officiated at most of the leading fixtures across the country.  He also runs the popular north of England shows in spring and summer, alongside his brother Stuart.
