It’s almost time… here’s the full run down of this year’s Derby runners and riders: who is your pick?


  • On Saturday 7 June, some of the greatest three-year-old Flat racehorses will do battle in the Betfred Derby at Epsom when the race gets underway at 3.30pm.

    Here’s the full list of Epsom Derby runners and riders who will be lining up. Who is your pick to win?

    Horse: Delacroix | Jockey: Ryan Moore
    Trainer: Aidan O’Brien
    Form: Run seven times. Won four times, including the Group Three Ballysax Stakes at Leopardstown in March and most recently the Group Three Derby Trial Stakes, also at Leopardstown. Prize money won to-date: £201,146.

    Ruling Court | Jockey: William Buick
    Charlie Appleby
    Form: Run four times, winning three of those starts. Most recently won the Group One 2000 Guineas at Newmarket. Prize money won to-date: £425,229.

    Pride Of Arras | Jockey: Rossa Ryan 
    Ralph Beckett
    Form: Run twice, winning both of those starts, most recently winning the Group Two Dante Stakes at York. Prize money won to-date: £114,397.

    The Lion In Winter | Jockey: Colin Keane 
    Aidan O’Brien
    Form: Run three times. Won twice. Finished sixth in the Group Two Dante Stakes last time out, but won the Group Three Acomb Stakes at York on his start previous to that in August 2024. Prize money won to-date: £106,427.

    Damysus | Jockey: James Doyle 
    John & Thady Gosden
    Form: Run three times. Won once and most recently finished second in the Dantes Stakes at York. Prize money won to-date: £53,871.

    Lambourn| Jockey: Wayne Lordan 
    Aidan O’Brien
    Form: Run five times. Won three times, including the Group Three Chester Vase Stakes last time out. Prize money won to-date: £129,815.

    Stanhope Gardens | Jockey: Hector Crouch 
    Ralph Beckett
    Form: Run four times and has won twice. His last victory came in a Class Four (low grade) at Salisbury last month, but he finished a close second to Delacroix in a Group Three race last autumn. Prize money won to-date: £24,814.

    Midak | Jockey: Mickael Barzalona 
    F-H Graffard
    Form: Unbeaten in three three-year-old runs, most recently winning a Group Three in his native France and has subsequently been supplemented. Prize money won to-date: £53,306.

    Nightwalker | Jockey: Tom Marquand 
    John & Thady Gosden
    Form: Run five times. Won once and most recently finished fifth in the Group Three Dante Stakes at York. Prize money won to-date: £30,023.

    Tornado Alert | Jockey: Oisin Murphy 
    Saeed bin Suroor
    Form: Run three times. Won once and most recently ran well for a long way in the 2000 Guineas where he finished fourth. Prize money won to-date: £32,341.

    New Ground | Jockey: Alexis Pouchin 
    H-F Devin
    Form: Run four times. Won twice, finishing third on his two most recent starts in his native France. Has been supplemented for this race. Prize money won to-date: £44,562.

    Tennessee Stud | Jockey: Dylan Browne-McMonagle 
    Joseph O’Brien
    Form: Run five times. Won twice. French Group One winner over 1m2f as a two-year-old and was third last time out in a Group Three contest at Leopardstown. Prize money won to-date: £162,164.

    Tuscan Hills | Jockey: David Egan 
    Raphael E Freire
    Form: Run three times. Won twice, including a Listed race as a two-year-old. Most recently finished seventh in the Group Two Dante Stakes. His granddam won the Oaks. Prize money won to-date: £27,004.

    Sea Scout | Jockey: Harry Davies 
    Simon & Ed Crisford
    Form: Run four times, winning on two occasions, including a Listed race at Epsom in April. Most recently finished eighth of 11 in the Dante. Prize money won to-date: £33,566.

    Al Wasl Storm | Jockey: David Probert 
    Owen Burrows
    Form: Run three times, recording one win. Last seen when winning a Class Two maiden at Chester in May. Prize money won to-date: £22,441.

    Lazy Griff | Jockey: Christophe Soumillon 
    Charlie Johnston
    Form: Run six times, winning twice. Won a Group Three n France as a two-year-old and most recently finished second to Lambourn in a Group Three at Chester last month. Prize money won to-date: £87,613.

    Nightime Dancer | Jockey: Jamie Spencer 
    Richard Hannon
    Form: Run three times, winning on one occasion. Most recently finished third in the Lingfield Derby Trial. Prize money won to-date: £29,084.

    Green Storm | Jockey: Billy Loughnane 
    Charlie Johnston
    Form: Run seven times, recording one win. Last seen when finishing fourth of eight in the Listed Feilden Stakes at Newmarket in April. Prize money won to-date: £75,603.

    Rogue Impact | Jockey: Luke Morris 
    James Owen
    Form: Run three times, winning once. Most recently finished last of six in the Lingfield Derby Trial. Prize money won to-date: £4,698.
